Why a Custom Spray Tan?

Spray tans use a safe formula that colors the skin, thereby protecting your skin from harmful UV radiation from the sun or tanning beds. UV radiation can lead to skin cancer, premature aging, dark spots, and, of course, sunburns.

Unlike sun exposure, which can lead to dryness, dehydration and even irritation, the products used at Glow and Go include hydrating ingredients. Our formulations contain moisturizing agents that help nourish and hydrate your skin.

A spray tan session typically only takes about 20-30 minutes. Not to mention, most tanning solutions take around 24 hours to fully develop allowing clients to bask in their new fresh tan with little wait time. This makes it a convenient choice for individuals looking to maintain a bronzed glow or achieve a special tanned appearance for events and occasions without a significant time commitment. Another key benefit of spray tanning is the ability to customize the intensity of your tan. Whether you prefer a subtle sun-kissed glow or a deeper, more dramatic tan, spray tanning allows you to choose the shade that best compliments your skin tone and personal preferences. This is extremely beneficial for clients who naturally have very fair skin and don’t tan well in the sun. Our attention to detail and knowledge of the products allows for a natural and customized glow. With our products, your tan will NOT be orange.

Our products are safe for even the most sensitive of skin. I myself have extremely sensitive skin and eczema. I try out all of my products on my own skin prior to use on any client in order to test for irritation and finishing color.

About the Artist
I am Caroline Cole, spray tan artist and owner of Glow and Go.
I have been spray tanning for 6 years. I feel that custom spray tanning is an art that takes time and effort into perfecting. I take pride in my work and it shows in the results. My spray tan solutions provide such natural and even results, my clients feel more attractive and confident in their own skin. Providing such a service is extremely rewarding. My goal is to ensure you not only leave with a spectacular tan, but that you are comfortable throughout the experience. I provide a safe and private environment to ensure comfort and the modesty required by each individual client is honored.​​​​​​
Pre-Tan Prep Guide
* Exfoliate Exfoliate Exfoliate
I recommend a thorough exfoliation of all parts of your body you plan to spray 1-2 days prior to your appointment. Avoid using oily scrubs.
* Shave before your appointment
For best results, use a blade without a glide strip. Avoid using aftershave and toners pre and post tan, as they contain alcohol and will dry out the skin.
* Oils/moisturizers
Do not apply any oils, lotions, or moisturizers to skin 2 days before tanning. Tans are best applied to dry skin.
* Other Prep
Waxes, facials, manis, and pedis should be done prior to your appointment. Be sure to remove any residual substances from such services.
* What to Bring
Bring loose, dark clothing to change into after your session. I recommend no jeans or bras. You can bring your own sandals, or we provide "sticky feet" if you prefer.
* What to wear during
Most women spray tan topless and in a thong or other underwear. We provide paper bralettes and thongs, nipple covers, and hairnets as needed/preferred. Men typically wear boxer, briefs, or swimwear.

* Ventilation
The room where you will be sprayed has overhead ventilation in the ceiling, and additional ventilation at the back of the booth. ​​​
* Consultation
You and I will discuss the darkness of the tan you wish to be applied. Once a decision is made, you will have time to change privately into what you wish to wear during the tanning process.​​
* Application
A spray gun is used to apply the tanning solution to your skin, often working in sections to ensure even coverage. You will be instructed on how to stand to ensure all areas are covered.​​
* Drying
There may be a bit of drying time immediately after spraying during which you may have to wait a few minutes prior to getting dressed. ​​
* Comfort
Your comfort is top priority. if at any time you feel uncomfortable, please voice your concerns.

After your Tan
The duration of your tan will depend greatly on how you care for it. If you follow the instructions below, your tan should last anywhere between 7-10 days.
* Before Showering
Keep your skin dry and moisture free while the tan develops. Depending on your tan, you will be instructed on how long to wait before showering. In general, you will want to wait at least 6-8 hours before showering, swimming, sweating, etc.
* Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize
Remember all of that exfoliation you did before the tan? You'll want to moisturize as much as possible afterwards. Use a spray tan-friendly lotion to prevent dry/flaky skin. Click here for a list of lotions I recommend.
* Hydrate
DRINK plenty of WATER to help keep your skin hydrated from the inside out
* Gentle Cleansing
When bathing, use a mild, moisturizing body wash. AVOID harsh soaps, exfoliants, or loofahs which all strip the tan away.
*Subsequent Spray Tans​​​​​​​​​​​​
Recommended time between spray tans is around 10-14 days. This allows for you to exfoliate and remove all remnants of the previous tan.
